Mental health has received plenty of media coverage recently, and it’s starting to be clear why. The Business Show has partnered with the social movement, Time to Change, run by charities Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. The campaign is changing the way we all think and act about mental health problems and recently revealed that one in three people say that work is the most stressful aspect of their life. In 2016/17, Health & Safety Executive reported that 12.5 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety. With this matter in mind, The Business Show has made an effort to include this issue in its agenda, recognising that it is an excellent opportunity to talk about the stigmas surrounding the subject.
Clarke Carlisle, former footballer and TV presenter, will be discussing his own struggles in a frank keynote seminar, as well as the director of Time to Change Jo Loughran, who will talk about the Time to Change Employer Pledge and the positive impact encouraging conversations about mental health can have in the workplace. For more information on Time To Change, go to www.time-to-change.org.uk
In order to help raise further awareness for this issue and promote the importance of a healthy work environment, The Business Show has partnered Time to Change. Be sure to visit the Time to Change stand at the show in order to talk about all the issues surrounding mental health at work, but also to hash out effective solutions and to understand how to deal with the issues better.
