Mark De Souza

Mark De Souza has founded companies in the UK, Denmark and USA, some using VC but mostly through organic sales.

Starting out as an Electronic Engineer in the mid 80’s working on machine vision and AI, he moved into Marketing and then crossed into the dark side: sales. In his first year in sales (age 36) Mark won Salesman of the Year and subsequently numerous other awards, including holidays to Barbados and Hawaii.

He has held several executive positions including CEO, VP Sales, VP Marketing. His main frustration has been the inaccuracy of sales forecasts presented to him; Joy of Sales was born to solve this problem.

Mark holds a B.Sc.(Hons) In Electronics and Communications Engineering, M.Sc. in Digital Systems (Cranfield) and the prestigious Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
