Raphael Sofoluke is the visionary and CEO behind The UK Black Business Show, an annual conference and exhibition show which takes place during October in celebration of Black History Month. The show highlights the achievements and contributions black businesses have made to the economy and attendees have the opportunity to hear insights and advice on entrepreneurship, leadership and business from some of the UK’s leading black business professionals. 2018 marked the show’s second year and was a resounding success with over 1,500 attendees and 57 businesses exhibiting from across the UK and Europe. The show was also featured on ITV News, BBC Radio London and endorsed by Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London. Raphael is passionate about diversity and inclusion and has used his experience to speak at a number of events and well known platforms including Labour''s Diversity Business Summit, NatWest’s Boosting BAME Businesses, CBS Interactive’s Inclusion event and many more.

Why Diversity & Inclusion can’t just be a talking point

This session will address why it is imperative for corporate companies to act and not just talk about diversity and inclusion. Raphael will discuss practical ways in which companies can implement strategies for D&I and will discuss how we can tackle discrimination from recruitment to board level.
