The 50th Edition's Post-Show Press Release

Liz Ainger, Business Show Media

The 50th edition of the business show has officially concluded, and we’re looking back at some of the standout moments that made it special. From the £100k Launchpad competition judged by industry leaders to some of the most creative exhibitor stands we’ve seen in the show’s history, this year’s event brought a fresh energy to its milestone year.

A key highlight of the show was the focus on fresh ideas and innovation across a wide range of industries. Exhibitors went all out with interactive and inventive concepts designed to help businesses improve their services and spark new ideas. The event felt less like a traditional showcase and more like a space for genuine collaboration, with attendees exchanging ideas, sharing contacts, and capturing moments of inspiration. The show managed to create a real sense of community, celebrating the creativity and effort behind so many businesses.

In today’s fast-paced digital world, where AI and social media are reshaping the way we connect, the show reminded everyone of the value of face-to-face interactions. Many businesses are looking to strengthen these personal connections, and this theme emerged repeatedly throughout the event. It was clear that in-person engagement still plays an important role, even in a tech-driven world.

We also delivered on the promise of an impressive keynote lineup for our 50th edition. Levi Roots, the entrepreneur behind Reggae Reggae Sauce and a Dragons' Den success story, shared his journey with a packed crowd on day 1 of the show. His talk was a hit, leaving attendees with practical insights and inspiration drawn from his unique experience.

Simon Squibb, founder of HelpBank and a nominee for TikTok Star of the Year, was another standout. His no-nonsense take on entrepreneurship resonated with the audience, emphasising the importance of purpose and perseverance over luck. His story offered actionable advice and motivation, striking a balance between realism and optimism.

Alongside these standout names, keynote speakers including Ben Askins, Tommy Mallet, Chelsey Baker, Lara Acosta, Evita Barwise, and over 350 other speakers took to the stage across the two days. Their sessions earned glowing reviews for their insightful perspectives, leaving attendees inspired to pursue their own business journeys.

The 100k Launchpad initiative aimed to empower an entrepreneur with over £100,000 in combined support, including services like business banking, creative design, social media strategies, AI tools, mentoring, and a £10,000 cash prize.

Across two days, finalists pitched their ideas, with Hoopsy, AudiiMax, and Letterbox Cocktails reaching the grand finale. After thorough deliberation from the judges, considering both scores and judging on personal brand and impressions, Letterbox Cocktails was chosen as the winner, awarded with £100,000 to support the growth and innovative development of their brand.

Overall, the 50th business show provided plenty of moments to celebrate—bringing together people, ideas, and opportunities in a way that reflected what the business world is all about. It was a chance for attendees to connect, learn, and leave with fresh perspectives to take back to their own ventures.
