We are proud to announce that we have been awarded a National Award at the UK Company Culture Awards for our charity initiative, the Mince Pie Marathon. The award, which celebrates excellence in fostering outstanding workplace environments and community involvement, was presented at a gala event in London.
The Mince Pie Marathon, a festive event created by Brightbulb, involved the entire company in selling, and distributing mince pies across the local community to raise thousands of pounds for local charity, The Wight Brainy Bunch. The initiative not only brought festive cheer but also significantly contributed to the charity, demonstrating Brightbulb’s commitment to giving back to the community.
Matt Jeffery, Managing Director of Brightbulb, expressed his enthusiasm for the award:
“We are thrilled to receive a national UK Company Culture Award. This recognition highlights our team’s dedication and hard work in not just excelling at what we do, but also ensuring we make a positive impact on our community. The Mince Pie Marathon is a reflection of our core values and commitment to integrating social responsibility into our business ethos.”
Fiona Jeffery, Head of Happiness at Brightbulb, added,
“At Brightbulb, we believe that happiness is the key to fostering a productive and engaging work environment. The success of our Mince Pie Marathon is a testament to the vibrant culture we nurture, where every team member feels valued and inspired to contribute positively to our community. This award is for everyone at Brightbulb who made this possible.”
Brightbulb’s Mince Pie Marathon not only brought the team closer but also set a precedent for how creativity and compassion can be harmoniously intertwined in corporate initiatives. This award recognises Brightbulb’s efforts in creating a workplace that goes beyond the conventional to genuinely serve and uplift the community.
