Scrap Local

Scrap Local is a network of scrap metal dealers and vehicle recyclers that was founded to effortlessly connect producers of metal waste and end of life vehicles to trusted scrap yards locally. Our vision is to disruptively innovate the recycling industry by creating a seamless metal recycling process for consumers, just as Uber and Just Eat have done for taxis and takeaways.

With no existing solution available on the market, Scrap Local is driving innovation within the scrap metal industry. Current best practices do not address the issues of logistical inefficiencies within fleet operations for the collections of scrap metal waste and fail to meet customer expectations when engaging with scrap metal recycling services. Aiming to solve this through our design intervention will enable consumers to easily engage with a circular economy for metal recycling whilst redefining the supply chain to provide a more sustainable approach towards resource management.
