Small Business Saturday raising the profile of local enterprises

Saturday the 5th of December marks the eighth year of Small Business Saturday in the UK, an organisation set up originally by the financial services corporation American Express. The ethos behind the organisation is to promote and encourage the support of local businesses, especially with the festive season approaching. 

 

According to the Federation of Small Businesses and Self employed, in the beginning of 2020 there were 5.9 million small businesses compared with the previous year the private business sector rose by 1.9%.
