Chris Starling

Chris Starling is the Managing Director of the SME Certification Centre. He has twenty years’ experience in the energy sector in a variety of commercial, business development and corporate finance roles including with Centrica, Sterling Energy and ENGIE where he was Head of Commercial and Business Development before founding Holt Energy Advisors in 2018. In early 2021, Holt Energy Advisors acquired the SME Certification Centre to extend its energy consulting capabilities to SME clients. Chris has worked on over 40 energy sector transactions both asset and corporate deals and restructurings valued at over $5.5bn and has assisted various companies with energy transition and portfolio management projects and is a Chartered Member of the Securities and Investment Institute.
