From an early age, Vanessa displayed a sharp entrepreneurial instinct. At just eleven, she launched her first online venture on eBay selling celebrity autographs — a foreshadowing of her dynamic business career and natural flair for opportunity.

Vanessa went on to earn an MA (Hons) in International Business Management with Enterprise from Heriot-Watt University, studying across campuses in Edinburgh and Dubai. Her academic journey also included placements in New York and London, where she honed her cross-cultural communication and problem-solving skills, working on high-profile projects such as New York Men’s Fashion Week and a Pepsi campaign.

At the age of 21, Vanessa took the helm of her family’s wellness business, transforming it into VL Aesthetics — now one of the North’s leading medical aesthetics clinics, with a team of over ten specialists. Her success in growing the clinic into a multi-award-winning enterprise earned her widespread recognition.

Today, Vanessa balances multiple leadership roles. She is the Head of Sales and PR for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Erchonia, a pioneering American company specialising in low-level lasers for accelerated healing and non-invasive fat loss. Her international remit includes driving business expansion, leading sales teams, and spearheading strategic partnerships across global markets.

Vanessa is also the host and creator of The Late Late Aesthetics Show — a groundbreaking podcast that explores the latest trends, innovations, and ethical discussions shaping the
aesthetics and wellness industries. The podcast was recently featured in the Hello! Aesthetics Guide as a leading voice in the field, praised for its thought-provoking interviews with world-renowned experts.

Her accomplishments have been recognised with several prestigious awards, including Businesswoman of the Year 2024, and she is a finalist in the 2025 Women of the Future Awards. These accolades highlight her continued impact and leadership as one of the industry’s most influential young entrepreneurs.
