Are companies walking the talk when it comes to employee wellbeing?

So many professions are facing unprecedented challenges affecting employee wellbeing, with knock-on effects for health, productivity, morale, and recruitment and retention.

Employees are becoming increasingly discerning when it comes to choosing a new employer or choosing to stay with a current one. Their benefits package is more than just pay and holiday entitlement, people are looking for employers that value and respect their emotional and mental wellbeing, their physical health and their social health.

To understand commitment to employee health and wellbeing, Verve Healthcare has researched hundreds of the public profile of 200 professional services firms and their external promotion of employee wellbeing.

As well as examples of good practice, the findings also show a disconnect between the firms that say they focus on staff wellbeing without providing evidence that shows they do, and those that do not say they prioritise staff wellbeing at all.
