Asset Match, the platform that facilitates the sale of the debentures, claim that they have traded in excess of £2MILLION worth of the investments since 2018.

ARSENAL fans wishing to skip the 30-year waiting list for a season ticket can do so – but it will cost them £25,000.

A host of season ticket debentures have gone on sale through Asset Match, with access to seats being offered to fans for between £17,000 and £25,000.

The debenture is a long-term debt instrument used to raise funds by the club.

Fans pay the hefty sum to get the right to then buy a season ticket and give up their seat when they want to cash in their investment.

Arsenal first issued A and B debentures in 1993 to fund the redevelopment of Highbury, before they later issued C and D debentures to help pay for their 2006 move to Emirates Stadium.

All four types of debenture are redeemable in the year 2143.

Remarkably, those initial A/B debentures were sold for just £1,500 a piece in 1993 – meaning they have since increased by some 1,500 PER CENT.

That is in no short part due to the fact there are now over 100,000 people on the season ticket waiting list at the Emirates.

It is estimated that fans at the back end of that list will be waiting between 20 and 30 years to get their hands on a ticket.

Wealthy supporters that do decide to pay the lofty fees to skip the waiting list will still have to fork out an annual fee to purchase their season ticket on top of the debenture.

Current general admission season ticket prices at Arsenal range between £1,127 and £2,112 for access to 23 games.

Fans can also use a debenture to gain access to a ‘Silver Bondholder Membership’, which offers priority access to tickets via exclusive ballots, high-priority access to the ticket exchange, and eligibility to purchase premium seating.

Asset Match, the platform that facilitates the sale of the debentures, claim that they have traded in excess of £2MILLION worth of the investments since 2018.
