How we run our own company on seven AI agents

Everyone is selling AI agents this year. Before we offered to build them for anyone else, we decided to run our own company on them.

Since July 2026, seven AI agents have done a real share of the work at Codevider. They research the market every morning, build our sales pipeline, research prospects before a call, draft our proposals, scout new engineering tools for our developers, and keep our task list honest.

Agents are not automations

An automation follows a fixed script: when X happens, do Y. It is fast and reliable until the input changes shape. An agent is given a goal, reads the situation, decides what to do, and uses tools to do it. That makes agents far more useful for messy work — research, drafting, triage — and far more dangerous if nobody is checking them. So the architecture matters more than the model.

How the crew is organised

  • An orchestrator receives a mission (“prepare this proposal”, “find this week’s leads”) and routes the work to the right specialists.
  • Specialists each do one job in their own private context: a researcher, a proposal writer, a lead hunter, an analyst. Each one knows its job and nothing else.
  • A reviewer agent checks the combined output with fresh eyes. If it fails, the work goes back for another round.
  • A human approval gate sits in front of anything that leaves the building. Nothing client-facing and nothing with a price on it ships without a person saying yes.

What we learned

The reviewer earns its place. On the very first full run it caught four real problems in the output before anything reached a human.

Most of the value comes from the boring agents. The morning brief and the task reminders save more time every week than the clever ones.

Give every agent one job. The moment an agent does two things, its output gets vaguer and harder to check.

What this means for you

We build the same thing for other businesses, on their own data and their own infrastructure. We start with a one-week blueprint that finds the jobs worth handing over, then build one agent doing one real job end to end, then a crew working together under an orchestrator. You stop wherever the value stops.
