Roan Lavery is the founder and CEO of FreeAgent, one of the UK’s leading online accounting platforms. Starting as a side hustle in 2007, FreeAgent has grown to support over 250k customers in the UK, helping small businesses take control of their finances. In the last two decades, FreeAgent has transitioned from a bootstrap startup, through multiple investment rounds and an IPO, to an acquisition by the NatWest Group in 2018. With a strong product background, Roan is passionate about building solutions to solve real-world customer problems - and helping other startups do the same, by sharing lessons learned in scaling.
